Inspire Real Estate 2025: driving the transformation to low-carbon, resilient, inclusive and well-being focused real estate
In 2021, BNP Paribas Real Estate invited more than 10,500 internal and economic partners, market regulators and societal influencers to participate in a major online consultation. BNP Paribas Real Estate's stated objective was to prioritise the sustainable development issues on which its stakeholders expect it to focus both in its operations and in its service offerings. As such views were expressed on the sustainable development issues to be taken into account in BNP Paribas Real Estate's operations and service offerings. Available in six languages, this European survey provided valuable information, in particular on the perception of BNP Paribas Real Estate's level of social responsibility.
The survey consisted of prioritising 22 key issues, according to the importance that each stakeholder attaches to them. While some of these issues confirm the CSR strategy implemented by BNP Paribas Real Estate over the past few years, others have been revealed or reinforced by the Covid-19 health crisis. The stakeholders interviewed prioritised issues such as: reducing carbon emissions, resilience and adaptability, energy efficiency and sobriety, well-being, health and safety in buildings, the circular economy and air quality. All of which aim to further strengthen the use of responsible real estate
The in-depth analysis of these results has led to the definition of BNP Paribas Real Estate's new CSR strategy 2021-2025, which reinforces its commitments to drive the transformation towards a low-carbon, resilient, inclusive and well-being focused property.
The update of its CSR strategy enables BNP Paribas Real Estate to affirm its desire to go further in designing responsible and resilient real estate ecosystems. It also reflects the company's 2022/2025 strategic action plan. We have a responsibility to ensure that our projects and actions are consistent with their environments and the growing expectations of our stakeholders to minimise their impact on the natural and human environment;
