BNP Paribas Real Estate in Spain has nominated Ignacio Martínez-Avial Redondo as new CEO for the company, as from October 1st, in substitution of Borja Ortega, who leaves the company to start a personal project. From his new position Martínez-Avial Redondo will keep developing the growth plan the company was pursuing under the frame of the global strategy for BNP Paribas Real Estate in Europe, keeping the focus in advising local and international investors, as well as big corporations.
Over the last 4 years, and under the leadership of Borja and Ignacio, BNP Paribas Real Estate Spain has substantially increased its presence in the market, growing key areas for the company and becoming one of the top advisors in Capital Markets, being present in some of the top deals in the market.
Ignacio Martínez-Avial Redondo has a degree in Law from the Universidad Complutense in Madrid and holds an MBA from ICADE (Instituto Católico de Administración y Dirección de Empresas). He has built his professional path into the real estate consultancy for the last 20 years in different top management positions, both into the business and into the operational side. He has shown great expertise in leading high performing teams.
He entered BNP Paribas Real Estate in 2019 and has held the position of Managing Director for Spain. From his role, he has been a key actor in defining the company’s strategy, which has proved to reach a positive impact in the positioning and the results achieved by the organization.
