- The company has appointed 12 senior managers in recent months

BNP Paribas Real Estate has continued to strengthen its senior management team in Spain with a number of new appointments, in line with its strong commitment to growth in the country over the coming years. This year, the company plans to increase its workforce by around 80 people to reach almost 200 employees in 2019.
With the appointment of new Chief Executive Officer in Spain, Frédéric Mangeant, last January, a growth strategy has been put in place that involves transforming and strengthening the organization through the appointment of market-leading senior professionals with extensive experience and deep knowledge of the industry, especially in the seven business lines that BNP Paribas Real Estate offers in Spain: Capital Markets, Valuation, Property Management, Project Management, Logistics & Industrial, Retail and Investment Management.

Thierry Bougeard has been appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer. Bougeard will be in charge of implementing and supervising the strategy, and of growing the business in its offices in Valencia and Barcelona across the seven lines of activity developed by the company. Bougeard has almost 30 years’ experience in the industry, during which he has participated mostly in global projects. In addition, he has more than 10 years’ experience in the French market at BNP Paribas Real Estate, and is a key expert in international logistics. From 2013 to 2018, Thierry Bougeard successfully led the business development during the crisis period from his position of General Manager in Spain.
In addition, Arnaud Sournia has been appointed as Head of Capital Markets in Spain. From this position he will be responsible for developing the capital markets business line at the national and international level. Sournia has almost 20 years’ experience in the real estate industry, in several positions of responsibility in relation to transaction management and strategic advice. Prior to his appointment, Sournia held the position of Director of International Investment at BNP Paribas Real Estate, coordinating the development of nine European markets (CEE, Spain, Italy, Ireland and Benelux) and of Director of Real Estate USA at BNP Paribas Real Estate Advisory New York.
And Ricardo Aguilar joined BNP Paribas Real Estate in August as Director of Architecture & Project Management. From this position, he will lead the consolidation of three new business lines: Consulting, Project Development and Management of real estate projects, with the incorporation of three line managers. He will be responsible for activities including real estate risk monitoring, sustainability, space design, technical and urban audit, and urbanization projects. As an architect with more than 15 years of experience in the real estate industry he has participated in more than 700 hotel, residential and industrial building projects, as well as in advising the major real estate operators of the Iberian market.
Among the top management, there have been nine new appointments, all of them with a wide experience and a great knowledge of the industry. Within the business lines, there have been six appointments and three new appointments in business support lines.
