BNP Paribas Real Estate announces that with effect from 1 January 2021, its Research & Innovation departments have come together under the management of Chief Research & Innovation Officer, Richard Malle. In his new role, Richard Malle ensures that the R&I departments strengthen BNP Paribas Real Estate’s knowledge and vision of the market while helping the company’s various business lines develop their prospective products and services. Olivier Sellès, newly appointed Head of Innovation, will oversee the Innovation Team while reporting directly to Richard Malle.
39-year-old Richard Malle joined BNP Paribas Real Estate in 2007. Since 2017, he has been Global Head of Research, in charge of coordinating and developing international market analyses with a team of some 60 people. In parallel, he is a lecturer at Cnam - Conservatoire national des arts et métiers - and teaches real estate economy at ICH in Paris. He is also a member of the IFPImm - Institut du Financement des Professionnels de l'Immobilier (French Commercial Real Estate Finance Institute) - as well as RICS. He has a doctorate in management science from Université Paris Dauphine, a Masters in economic analysis, and a Masters in applied mathematics.
41-year-old Olivier Sellès joined BNP Paribas Real Estate in 2018 as head of Smart Buildings. One of his chief tasks is to develop services on new technologies used in buildings. From 2013 to 2018, Olivier worked for Bouygues Immobilier, and was notably in charge of the IssyGrid project (first French smart grid). Previously, he worked for 8 years as an R&D project manager for Saint Gobain, and spent a year of consulting experience with the Boston Consulting Group. Olivier Sellès graduated at the Ecole Polytechnique and has a doctorate from Université Paris VI.
